Term 3 P.E.: Boxing
This term we have been learning various skills in Boxing with our sensational coach Pax from Sticks X Stones. At first many of the children were nervous about trying this sport, however, with the wonderful support of Coach Pax they have come along well. Here are some photos and video of one of our last classes.

Canon Ball Challenge
This Wednesday from 8:30am until 8:45am our school held a scavenger hunt in association with Canon NZ. 3 rugby balls were hidden in various spots around our school which children had to find and return to claim a prize. The prize?
The winning Canon Ball Challenge kids will spend a few
hours with Damian McKenzie in a skills and drills session at North
Harbour Stadium on the 15th September. There will be face painting and a sausage
sizzle on the day. They'll also take home an A2 photo
printed on-site on a Canon large format printer and a bag
filled with goodies.
Here's how it all went down.

Drama In Schools with Auckland Theatre Company
During the course of this term we have been receiving extra special workshops aimed at boosting our reading comprehension skills. Caitlin and Stacey have been running these workshops once a week for the past 3 weeks now and today our children were tasked with creating a memorial for a deceased character from the story "The Treasure Box" by Margaret Wild and Freya Blackwood.
By exploring emotive language, imagery and their own emotions our students have discovered a deeper connection and understanding of the story.
