Exploring Maths Through Running?

Room 7 have been using our Maths warm up time this term to look into Statistical Literacy and consolidate our measurement learning from Term 1.

We have been participating in a daily (as the weather has permitted) Progressive Fitness Test and graphed the results to chart our progress. Heneliena told us that her progress has been "up and down" but she is able to work out that her average distance covered was 306m.

  16. Good Afternoon Rm 7 @ Saint Patricks School, I like the techniques your class uses to express maths. I like how you included the days when you did maths through running because if the weather wasn't cooperating that would be a disaster. I also admire how you included on of the students results on there too.Next time maybe you could add the easy and difficult parts during your running. Were your results bigger or less from the first time you tried it?
