Drama In Schools with Auckland Theatre Company

During the course of this term we have been receiving extra special workshops aimed at boosting our reading comprehension skills. Caitlin and Stacey have been running these workshops once a week for the past 3 weeks now and today our children were tasked with creating a memorial for a deceased character from the story "The Treasure Box" by Margaret Wild and Freya Blackwood.

By exploring emotive language, imagery and their own emotions our students have discovered a deeper connection and understanding of the story.
