Today in our Te Rito Toi sessions the children explored the idea of someone having their "Cloak Of Dreams" torn. Once we had discussed what the words "cloak" and "torn" meant we all contributed our own dreams to a new cloak. Here is the Room 7 Cloak Of Dreams.
We are a Year 6 and 7 class at St Patrick's School in Auckland, NZ. We are in Room 7 and our teacher is Mr. Bell.

Using Drama To Understand What We Have Read
This past week, students in Room 7 have been exploring the events detailed in "The Green Children" a myth adapted by Professor Julie Dunn, Griffith University and Professor John O’Toole, University of Melbourne.
The below video documents the children's first day at school in the village. Groups have put themselves in the shoes of various people involved to help them understand what was going on during this time.
