Trials by Phontain
Yesterday 28th of July my nana and grandpa slept over my house because they wanted to come and watch me at the Counties Maoris training in Pukekohe. We had to be there at 10:00 at the Python club. It was far but it was worth it. When we got there I asked the coach if he needed help and he said “Okay so he told me to grab the cones and the balls” I got them and he told me to give them to him so he can put them down.
Then the coach told the team to run around the two fields twice. When we came back we had to do some stretches so our muscles won't get sore. After the stretch the coach showed us how to do the movement for fitness. After fitness we had a game there were two cones on each side of the field one person gets the ball and tries to score while the other one has to tries tackle the one with the ball. I scored a try and stopped two guys with the ball. It was a lot of fun but when we were finishing the coach told us to run around the field two more times.
When we finished, coach was talking to the parents about how much more than one costs and telling us that we have to stop mucking around.

Let's all get along!
Watch this video and find out how bullies get treated!
Manaiakalani Film Festival - Get Along
When we leave comments on each others blogs we are always positive and include comments that are thoughtful and helpful when we can. This helps us create a positive digital footprint and smart relationships online. Read what Kryzjon has created on his blog to show how he like to connect with others.
In our film for the festival this year we wanted to share and show others the importance of being positive, thoughtful and helpful in everyday life. Supporting each other this way is also the smart thing to do as it helps us all to get along.

After making this movie we learnt some new tips for next time too. We have realised that it is important to be organised and have all our shots planned out including the scene and the script. We are looking forward to seeing our movie on the Xtreme Screen!

Sleeping In by Tricia
It was a rainy and windy day and it was still in bed at 8 a.m when my sister tried to wake me up. She failed miserably just like my mum who also tried to wake me up several minutes ago. When I finally got out of bed, I went into the living room where my mum, dad, and my little sister sat. My mum was very cross with me because I woke up so late. While I was having breakfast my mum said ”when you have finished eating go and get dress because we are going to dress mart”.
While we were driving there I took a little nap, my sister on the other hand was focused on passing level 13 so she had no idea what was going on around her. When we finally got there we found a great parking that was close to the entrance. We first went to Converse to look at some shoes that my dad wanted to get but unfortunately they didn’t have his size. The next store we went to was called Forever New they had really great clothes but sadly they were too big for me.
After we went to a few more stores my sister was getting hungry so we went to a restaurant. I had a Chicken while my sister had a beef burger. After we finished eating we went back home and I took a nap for 4 hours.
I had a really fun day, the only thing that I didn’t enjoy was not being able to buy some clothes that I liked because they were too big for me
but, otherwise I had a great day of shopping.

Are you a believer by Kryzjon
[Act 2:1-4, Act 2:5-16]
This video is about how my group and I role-played the event of Pentecost. We learnt that the believers have faith in our Lord. The Holy Spirit empowers us to have holiness and strength. There were the Apostles, the Jews and the people who lived in Jerusalem at the time present at Pentecost.

Learning Chinese by Benjamin
In the weekends, I went to the temple for my Chinese class. When I got there, another class was still in session so I had to wait in another room and it was a mess. Once it was my turn, I had a test that was pretty easy. When I finished that, I had to do some work in my book. I wrote some Chinese characters and finished off some sentences. I also did some worksheets.
When I was finished, I got a snack similar to fruit chews and something else that looks like an egg roll. I had to wait because my mum haven’t finished packing up. Once my mum finished packing up, I closed the gates and we went back home.

What did I learn today by Jarrod
Today in Room 7 we did R.E, math and reading.
In R.E we had to find out why Jesus saved us. We had to come up with our own ideas and find out what salvation means. Salvation means when to save someone. We then had to put the definition into our glossary at the back of our R.E books
In Math we did fractions. We had to show our working outs so that other people would know how we got our answers. We did a lot of hard math questions.
In reading we read a story called ‘In the Eye of the Storm’. It was about a cyclone that hit Niue, It was a very long story to read. We then had to write a report to the government of Niue why they should build storm- proof houses.

Guitar Practise by John
On Sunday my family and I went to church. We prayed and sang songs until Mass ended.
After Mass we went to Sylvia Park to buy the things that we needed for this week. As we passed Eb Games I saw flash, new games that was going to be released this September and I wanted to pre-order one of them. I asked my mum if I could but she said maybe, so I’ll have to wait until the end of this term if I can get one.
Next we had a bit of lunch and then we went straight home. Once we arrived I took out my guitar and the computer to search for a song that was easy for me to play since I was a beginner. I was practising on changing of chords. I had to keep repeating the video so that I could understand what I was doing.
By the time I finished it was 8 o'clock and I had to go to bed. I had a lot of fun and I hope I have more free time so I could keep practising and become better.

In Room 7 for R.E we have been learning about the story of the Rainbow People. We rewrote the story of the Rainbow People and made it into an E-Book. It is important to share what we have with others so we can be more like Jesus.
