Yay, go Marist! By Cameron

On Saturday, I went to the Avondale Racecourse. When my family and I arrived, I went with my dad to look for my rugby team. I only saw Mario. He asked me, “Can you give the T shirt to the coach please?” I said “No you give it to him.”

Then the coaches arrived and we ran to them. The coach told us to go to the third field. She told us to run to the bin and back. I was the third one back. Then we did some butt kicks, great vines, high knees and lunges.

Finally, the game started and we kicked off. The other team caught the ball. We kept tacking the other team to prevent them from getting a try. Then we got our first try and I tackled the person with the ball. Then the whistle blew for the end of the first half. The halftime score was 12 to us and 10 to them

When the second half was back on, I was the substitute because Harlem wanted to be the Hooker. While I was watching, some boys were tackling away, one boy ran almost to the try line. Then it was full time and the final score was 22 to us and 12 to them.

I feel happy because we won our rugby game for our coach. I hope we win next week's game as well and stay strong with our defense.

Help, help, I need to destroy my micro bots! By Cameron

On Easter Saturday, I asked my dad if I can sleepover at my nana’s house. He said, “Yes! You can.” So I pack my clothes for church and some balls to play with. When I got to nana’s house, I said “Hello!” to her. She asked,

"What are you doing here?” I said
“I am sleeping over.” As soon as I got in the house, I asked for some noodles because I was hungry.

When I was having my noodles, John got a text from my aunty saying that Xavier left Eli at home so we picked them up. John asked Eli what he had for dinner. Eli said, “I had a hot chocolate.” So we went to McDonald's to get a cheeseburger for Eli.

When we got home, I went inside to watch Big Hero 6. Eli came in and ate his food while watching with me.
Big Hero 6 is a robot who helps Hero to destroy his microbots. Hero like to fight robots. Hero can upgrade his friends into superheroes.

After Big Hero 6 had finished, I played a little bit of Minecraft. I built a snow house with water in it because if you put lava in it, it will burn the snow. I also built a fun and easy maze with some green wool and leaves. After that I went to bed because it was late.

I wish we had more time with Xavier. Maybe we can pick him up earlier next time.

Are you an altar server at church? By Cameron

In the afternoon, I played Roblox until 5 o'clock. I only played the Zombie Tsunami game. I moved up from level 10 to 53 and got new weapon to use for fighting the zombies. I saw a lot of my friends

playing that game as well and some of them are on level 50 and the rest are on level 100.

When it was 5 o'clock, I went to church with my mum, nana and uncle. When we got to church, I went to the back to see if Aiden was there as well, but he was not their. So I went to the front and I saw Soane. Next, I asked him where Aiden was and he said “He’s not here”. Then I went to the back to wait for Father.

When Father arrived I asked if I could be an altar boy and he said “Yes”. I told him that I was new. I put the altar alb on and Father said that Chris will help and tell me what to do. I had to get the cross and carry it.

Next, I had to go to the front of the church and wait until a man had said the introduction. When he had finished, I walked up slowly with Father and Chris. I did everything that I was instructed to do. After Mass has ended, Father introduced my name and I took Father back to the front. I went to put the cross back and take off the altar alb.

I feel happy because I’m now an altar boy. I want to be an altar server every Saturday.

My Game Against Grammar Green! By Cameron

On Saturday, my mum and dad took me to my rugby game. My team is called Marist Storm and we were versing Grammar Green at their home ground that morning. When we got to the field, we started with some warm ups. We had to wait a bit because they were late. My coach told us that if we didn’t win, we will have to run up the hill 100 times.

When the other team arrive, the game was started and my coach picked the player to go on the first half. We kicked off for the game and the Grammar Green caught the ball. We chased the ball and started to tackle the player with the ball. We had to do a blow over. When we got the ball, we started to pass the ball to Sione so he can try  to get a try for our team.

After that, the other team got the ball and started to run to the other side. However, he got tackled and he went out of the rugby field. The hooker is the one to throw the ball in and the halfback calls out a move to the rugby players so they can move into position. It was almost halftime and we got tackled out of the field. The score was 3 - 1.

We kicked off the second half as well. The other team dropped the ball and we had to do a scrum. The scrum is when you push the ball back to the halfback. When the ball went out, the other team had to do the lineout. When the ball was thrown in, the halfback of the other team got it so I ran to get the ball. They drop the ball and I caught it and pass it to Sione so he can get another try for our team. Then the score became 6 to 3 to us.

I was happy that we won the match because we all tried really hard and we worked really well as a team.
