Have you had your graduation ceremony? By Shannon

On Saturday, it was a freezing cold sunny morning. My family and I heard about how my cousin just had his graduation. My mum had to go to a party first before the graduation celebration. My sister, dad and I got ready quickly so that we could go to the graduation celebration.
Once my sister, dad and I arrived at my cousin's house, we waited for the other visitors to come. Yay! The pork had finally arrived! I was really happy because I love to eat pork. My aunties, uncles, cousins and my mum came after that.
When we have all gathered, we ate some food. "Yum!", I said. There was pork, lasagna, cupcakes, chicken and Filipino food! I loved the food and so did everyone else.
After we had finished eating, my cousins and I played some games. First we played hide and seek and all of us tried to hide in a secret place as fast as we could. Then we decided to tumble. We did forward rolls, handstands, cartwheels and more! "Ugh! I'm so tired!", my cousins shouted. "Let's take a rest", replied my sister. Minutes later, my cousins and I had enough rest so we played some music from the beats speaker. I love the beats speaker because they were as loud as a lion.
It was an awesome time at my cousin's graduation because we had delicious food and we played games! I hope we could go back to my cousin's house next weekend so we can play more games together.

Wow! I didn't know badminton was so much fun! By Glen

Last Friday, the entire class went to the hall to practise our badminton skills. Coach Ben gave us tiring warm ups to start off with, he told us to to jog to the wall and back twice, then he told us to swiftly using side steps to the wall and back.

The first activity we did the we did was we practised our forehand and then backhand grips. After a little while, those of us that have mastered our forehand and backhand grip we tried some marvellous tricks. We hit the shuttle up into the air and try to hit it back up in the air as many times as we can.

The next fun activity that we did was we had a serving game. We were practising our backhand serves over the net. We did it a few times in groups and then it was changed into a competition.

Coach Ben then put rackets on the floor to use as a marker and the team that hits the racket on the floor with the shuttle gets a point.

Image result for badminton shuttleThe next activity we did was another serving game. First we had to find a partner, my partner was R.J. Then we had to backhand serve to our partner. Before long, we were rallying with each other.

I thought badminton was fun and a very fast-paced game. I wish I had more time in the hall so we could keep practising and improve our skills.

The trek up Mount Wellington! By Alessandra

On the 30th of May, my cool friends, lovely family and I went hiking up the mountain at Mount Wellington.

First we gathered at my friend's house and we started the hike up the mountain. When we were walking my friend Leilani and I saw some big, fat cows. When we took a closer look at them we, also saw a little baby calf. It was so nice watching the baby calf walking next to its mother and it was color black and white.

When we got to the top it was such a beautiful sight. We could see all of Panmure and more. We can even see our school, the sky tower and the hole of Auckland. We took lots of photos  while arming the view and the beauty of nature. We then came down and went to the hot park on Banks road.

When we got to the park it was so hot, we played some sports like Soccer, Touch,  Rugby and more. The first game we played was Touch. First we had to get into some teams. I was in Leilani's team and my brother was in my mum and dad's team. Then we started to play. The scores were 9-9, it was a tie! After that it was so hot we had to have some nice cold water.

After that we went home. At home we all had a nice cold shower. Then later we watched some T.V and had dinner. The food we had were some nice brown chicken with  white rice and some lovely vegetables. After a while we went fast sleep.

I wish that next time we could spend more time in the park and we can go for another hike and play more sports at the park with my family and friends.

Seriously, you have to go to Valentines! By Rosary

On the 31st of May we celebrated my cousin's 21st birthday. We celebrated it at a restaurant called "Valentines". My cousins, aunties,  uncles, grandma, mum and siblings were all at the birthday party. We travelled to Valentines by car.

When we arrived at the restaurant, the very first thing we did was we  sat down at the table that had to pink and white balloons on it. Then we went to get ourselves something to eat. There was Sushi, hot chips, macaroni and cheese, spring rolls, sea-food meat, vegetables and dips. We also had drinks like lemon water and juice.

A while later we went to the kid's room to look after my cousin's son. It looked like an arcade but it only had 3 game machines in there. There were two games called "The claw" and one arcade game. My nephew won a warriors rugby ball. It was black and white. After that my cousin blew out her candles for her 21st birthday. After that we had dessert and I was so eager to see what was on offer for dessert. There was cookies and cream ice-cream a, pavlova, mud cake, waffles and cream and healthy toppings. The food was cold yet satisfying.

Finally it was time to go home. We got dropped off. When we went home, we all we all layed down to sleep because we were all exhausted. Meanwhile my mum tried on her new clothes with her sister.

I had the most memorable day ever. I hope that next time we can go Valentines again to have more wonderful and delicious food.
